Young Persons University

The Young Persons University provides information and learning tools for secondary school learners relating to current research being undertaken at the University of Manchester.

The site contains self-study challenges related to the teaching and research undertaken by the University’s four faculties: Engineering and Physical Sciences; Humanities; Life Sciences; Medical and Human Sciences. Included within each Challenge is the option to discover more about studying related subjects at university and future career options. There are also links to additional resources related to that subject area.

The weekly blog highlights research being undertaken by the University's Widening Participation Fellows: PhD candidates who work to engage young people with university life and study. Information about research developments and public engagement activities will also feature on this page.
A teachers’ section provides information and resources for teachers to support subject-specific activities, and access to Higher Education generally.
