Public Engagement at Manchester

European City of Science

Making a Difference

Manchester is the European City of Science 2016 – as recognition of its unique scientific heritage and contribution to scientific discovery, innovation and industry, the city will come alive with science with events for all ages.

As a principle partner, The University of Manchester hosted a range of exciting science events, tours and activities exploring real science and delving into the heritage of the University.

Some of our key activites included: Project: Robot Orchestra, Open Labs: Behind the Scenes of Manchester Science, Wonder Materials: Graphene and Beyond, and Climate Control - a summer long interactive exhibition at Manchester Museum.
