The University of Manchester has recently started working with the charitable organisation Future First to encourage University alumni to make a connection back to their old state schools in the UK.

If you are an alumnus of the University of Manchester you may already have received information about this in the recent e-newsletter.

However, this isn’t just open to Manchester alumni and the commitment can be as small or as great as you want. It may mean posting a profile of yourself, agreeing to do a talk to pupils or mentoring someone online who is now sat in your old seat in class – each school will have a different approach.

As public engagement champions and enthusiasts I wanted to highlight this to you and if you are interested in registering you can sign up here.

If you have any queries please get in touch with Stephanie.lee@manchester.ac.uk
