Following a Social Responsibility Flagship Call in 2011, the Humanities External Relations Committee (HERC) funded initiatives in Humanities under the theme of ‘Social Responsibility in the Curriculum’. Any course unit leader of a level 2 or 3 UG course in Humanities could apply for funding to enhance an existing module or to incorporate an explicit social responsibility emphasis into a new module. Funding of up to £2,000 was awarded to 12 modules and these have been delivered during this academic year, 2012-13.

To celebrate the work that has been carried out this year, we will be holding an event on Thursday, 16 May 2013 and we would be delighted if you could join us for presentations about the work undertaken – and some refreshments. There will be the opportunity to view all the work that has been carried out and hear from staff and students involved.
