Free advice, resources and ideas at informal information sessions across the country.

National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW) is an annual 10-day celebration of science and engineering. In 2013 it runs from 15 to 24 March with the theme ‘Invention and discovery’. Lots of different organisations use the Week as a platform for raising the profile of their organisation locally:

  • Museums and other visitor venues use the Week to widen and develop audiences.
  • Schools can create a buzz and use it as a platform for stem enrichment and enhancement and to stimulate disengaged pupils
  • Community groups might organise a family fun day with a science twist, the possibilities are endless!

Come along to an Info session in your area and find out about how you can get support for organising your own event or activity for NSEW 2013.

These FREE sessions include:

  • Hands-on activity ideas and demos
  • Practical elements of organising and running events
  • Funding hints and tips
  • How to find presenters and/or activity partners near you
  • Details of the 2013 theme and national projects
  • Free resources for teachers and other organisers including free activity packs
  • Meet the NSEW Team and hear from schools and other groups who have organised an event or activity near you in previous years.

The session will give advice and practical help to anyone who would like to run an event or activity to celebrate science and engineering in their community.

Information sessions are taking place across the country. Sessions are free but places are limited so don’t delay, book today!
