Wonder: Art and Science on the Brain: 6 – 9 April 2013

The Wellcome Trust have asked if we can find volunteers for the an event at the Barbican Centre in April; travel and subsistence will be reimbursed but not overnight accommodation.

They are looking for both PhD students/postdocs and staff who want to do some public engagement – to act as NeuroGrrl Guides for the Wellcome Trust. Volunteers would be asked to talk about their research and about ScienceGrrl, but also to help the public navigate the Street Fair.

The Wellcome Trust, in partnership with the Barbican Centre is programming a series of events combining neuroscience with art, music, performance and hands-on demonstrations. We are looking for volunteers to help us deliver these events across 4 days at the Barbican Centre. We are looking for people with an interest in public engagement, science and art and are able to cover all reasonable expenses not including accommodation. A minimum commitment of 1 day is requested; but you could do more if you’re able.

Please contact Harriet Martin if this is of interest by 25 February at h.martin@wellcome.ac.uk
