Cheltenham Science Festival is looking for early career scientists/engineers or other STEM professionals to share their passion for science/engineering in an outreach programme for Year 10 pupils called Careering Around.

Careering Around – careers guidance but not as you know it – gets KS4 pupils thinking about the benefits of qualifications in science, technology, engineering and maths as they come face to face with people working in these fields. Unlike a standard careers fair, Careering Around involves interactive sessions based on a speed dating format, making it lively, dynamic and definitely memorable!

Join us on the Careering Around minibus for one or two days between 18-22 March 2013. We will be visiting schools in Gloucestershire, Bristol and Somerset and working with Year 10 pupils. You will need to travel to a designated meeting point each morning, but we do have some funding to help with travel costs. A minibus will take you from the meeting point to the schools.

There will be a training session to introduce you to Careering Around and to practice STEM engagement and communication techniques in late February/ early March (date and venue TBC).
