The feedback from our recent symposium highlighted how useful it was to meet people who worked across a range of science communication and public engagement careers, and have the chance to ask them questions about what it’s like to do those jobs, and how they ended up in those jobs in the first place.
We’ve scheduled a range of meetings and training sessions in July as a result of the feedback we had at the symposium, and on Wednesday 20 July (2pm – 5pm) we are running career development session at the Wellcome Trust.
We have 7 brilliant table hosts, who will each speak about their career history, and everyone who attends will have the chance to ask them questions. Hopefully, it will be an opportunity for an informal, useful, honest chat about what it’s like to work in this industry.
