Registration is now open for the second Patient Hack Day. The event will be held on Wednesday 30 September 10-3pm at The St Thomas Centre in Manchester.

Once again, inviting patients, carers, service users or members of the public are being invited to pitch their own idea for a research project. The pitchers will then work in groups with other public contributors and also with researchers and representatives from voluntary organisations to try to translate their idea into an early-stage research proposal.
This year, pitches are being invited around three themes – Mental Health, Technology & Health, and Patient Safety. This is because these are areas of expertise at the University of Manchester which means researchers/ voluntary organisation representatives with relevant experience will be in the room. As with last year’s event, 30 public contributors and 30 researchers / voluntary organisation representatives are being invited, and places are available on a first come, first served basis.
