Dementia Friends Training session

Wednesday 10 September, 12-1pm, in the Jean McFarlane Building
Making a Difference

Dementia Friends is one of the University’s Social Responsibility flagship programmes. Raising awareness of dementia is one very small step that we can all take to make a difference.

Simon Burrow, from the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work, will be delivering a Dementia Friends training session at the Jean McFarlane Building on Wednesday 10 September, from 12-1pm.

The session which will last about 45 minutes will look at various aspects of dementia, how individuals can recognise signs of dementia and offer support and understanding.

By attending a short training course and raising awareness with friends, family and colleagues, you can make a difference to lives of people living with dementia.

If you would like to attend please email simon.burrow@manchester.ac.uk. Places are limited and will be offered on a first-come first-served basis.
