The University of Manchester and Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust are organising the first Manchester Psoriasis Shout Out – a series of events aimed at raising awareness of the skin condition which affects more than 1.8 million people in the UK.

The Shout Out roadshow will be at Salford Royal on Wednesday 30 April and will provide a chance to chat with other people living with the condition and to visit a ‘chill out’ zone to try relaxation and mindfulness techniques. There will be a free ‘mindfulness’ taster session for visitors 12.30-13.00 and a series of presentations/discussions at 2.30pm – where dermatologist Prof Chris Griffiths and colleagues will be joined by special guests Comedian Toby Hadoke and fashion blogger Helen Hanrahan.

Blogger Helen ‘Flaky Fashionista’ will also be involved in a Shout Out fashion show at the intu Trafford Centre on 2 May (13:30 and 17:30).
