The EPSRC-funded network “POEMS: Predictive modelling for healthcare technology through maths” is pleased to announce a free public evening event: Electricity and the Heart – How to mend a broken heart, helped by computers and advanced technology

21 January 2014, 6pm, 76 Portland Place, London W1B 1NT

Speakers:

  • Prof. Peter Kohl (Imperial College London and University of Oxford) – Modelling the Heart: Devil in Detail, Heaven in Integration
  • Dr. Sabine Ernst (Royal Brompton Hospital and Imperial College London) – From modelling to real life – progress in understanding cardiac arrhythmia

There will be a wine reception after the talks, ending at about 9pm.
