The call for proposals for the 2014 Science Communication Conference is now open. The British Science Association, in partnership with the Wellcome Trust, are keen to hear your ideas for sessions for this conference, which will take place at the University of Surrey on 1 & 2 May 2014.

This annual event brings together over 400 people each year who work in the many areas of science communication, from science charities, science centres, festivals and museums, universities, learned societies, research councils, media outlets, informal education and more.

As well as having a Steering Committee to help us create the programme, we want to open it out to anyone who has a good idea for a session or has seen or heard of a great speaker that we should invite along. Guidance information about the conference, including a link to the proposal form can be found here.

This year we are piloting having an online space for people to work collaboratively, so if you have an idea of a session but need some suggestions of speakers or are looking to partner up with someone to help run the session then could can add your comments on our Google drive here.

Deadline for proposals is 10 January 2014.

Information about the conference, the strands and link to the proposal form can be found on our website here.
