2pm and 3pm, Saturday 2 November, Discovery Centre (near reception) in the Manchester Museum

Want to know what scientific research is happening at the University and meet the scientists behind the work? Find out more this Saturday at the next M-cubed event (Manchester Minute Microlectures) in the Manchester Museum, as part of the Science Spectacular!

Ten researchers will share their enthusiasm and expertise by giving a pitch about their work in just one minute. Talks will span a range of different topics, from parasitic worms to the world’s thinnest material, graphene.

Join us at 2pm and 3pm for two sessions of talks, with the opportunity to meet the scientists afterwards and ask your questions. Below is the list of the researchers that will be joining us and their fascinating work:

This project builds upon a successful model pioneered by American universities. Researchers give their microlecture in a public space and it is filmed so people can also watch the short talks online. M-cubed was set up with funding from the Wellcome Trust and Nowgen is one of the organisers.
